Beauty in Review: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

 I'm coming up on one year of working at Estee Lauder. It's been the best work year I've ever had and I love my job so much. I love working at a company that has such a rich history, a brand that I've admired since childhood and have such fond memories of; watching my mom and aunt use this skincare and makeup is ingrained in my brain.

One of the first purchases I made when I started working at the brand was our hero product: Advanced Night Repair Serum. It's a serum that does everything and anything you need it to; we like to say it's like 7 serums in 1 because it has that much power packed into a bottle.

As a beauty lover, I love experimenting with new products and trying different lotions and potions. I'm always on the hunt for something new and exciting that will improve my outer appearance. I was someone who was using multiple serums; a brightening serum, retinol or acid, a hydrating serum, dark spot eraser... anything to get my skin looking more flawless.

Well, for the past year I have used nothing (not including retinol and a Vitamin C serum) besides Advanced Night Repair. I've gone through 3 or 4 bottles at this point and when I don't use it for a few days, I notice a difference. It's my favorite part of my nightly skincare routine (don't let the name deceive you, you can use this during the day too and it's recommended to do so) because it feels so good on the skin and it's easy.

What Does It Do?

As I said above, Advanced Night Repair is supposed to be like having 7 serums in 1 bottle. It delivers 7 major benefits:

The benefits that I notice the most are hydration, even tone and radiance. I don't have loss of firmness or any real facial lines yet so I can't speak to those benefits but this is definitely a hydrating, brightening serum. When I don't use it for a few days, my skin feels a little drier and tighter and I notice my dark spots and hyperpigmentation popping up. 

I also love anti-oxidant protection aka protecting your skin against pollution, blue light, and micro dust. I'm a sucker for anti-oxidant products but you know that already!

There's a lot of science that goes into this product because it actually renews your skin as you sleep 

What Does It Feel Like?

The texture of Advanced Night Repair is very light weight. It's oil-free, sinks into the skin immediately and doesn't feel greasy, sticky or tacky. It's almost water like in the best way possible. It plays nicely with other products and a lot people mix it in with foundation to give a more glowing, radiant look to the skin. I haven't done that but I know it's a great hack!

When Do I Use It?

As I said above, use it every day and night! I usually use it at night because I don't do a ton of skincare during the day and like to stick to Vitamin C serum and SPF. 

I apply Advanced Night Repair after my essence or toner and before my moisturizer. If I'm using retinol, I apply it after that. 

Who Is Advanced Night Repair For? 

Everyone can use Advanced Night Repair! It's suitable for all skin types and all ages. I honestly think that if you're looking for a new skincare routine, or just need one thing aside from moisturizer to use at night, then you can't go wrong with Advanced Night Repair. It's very easy, it's all in one and it's simple. Sometimes, we just want an all in one savior that is going to help our skin.
