I have collected a lot of lip products during my time as a beauty obsessed adult but I don't think I've ever loved a lip product the way I love the Makeup by Mario Glow Lip Serums. When I first heard Mario was coming out with his own makeup line, I expected nothing but the best and he has exceeded expectations.
The Lip Glow serums were the first Mario product I bought and it quickly became my most worn lip product. The serums are one of the most unique lip products I've ever tried and I now own three shades, and hoping to add more to my collection.
Mario just spent the entire summer releasing new high shine shades but the original shades were all shimmer finishes which add a subtle yet beautiful, interesting glow to your lips. It gives a lot of definition while providing a glossy finish without feeling overly slippery.
What is a Moisture Glow Plumping Serum?
These lip serums are just that -- a serum. They're very hydrating, melt into your lips (in a good way) and have a very glossy finish. They swipe on like a balm but are opaque enough to be mistaken for a lipstick.
They combine a balm, gloss and lipstick, giving way to a hydrated, glossy balm finish. They are an all in one lip product.
What are the Benefits?
Like all good lip products these days, there are many benefits to the Moisture Glow Plumping Serums. They're formulated with an ultra hydrating and nourishing blends of oils such as: Shea Butter, Avocado Oil and Argan Oil.
You can feel the oils sinking into your lips and providing that moisture we all need.
There's also that word... plumping. These balms are plumping and provide that tingly feeling, but it's not as irritating as some other plumpers I've used. These really plump your lips and within a few minutes you can see a slight difference. My lips don't really need plumping but it gives a nice, fuller looking effect.
How Do They Feel?
Since these have a balm foundation, they glide onto the lips really easily. I don't think they are overly slick or greasy; they have the slightest bit of tack without being sticky and uncomfortable. I find myself swiping these on when I don't know what else to wear, when I want something glossy but don't want a regular gloss.They give off enough color that you feel like you're wearing more than a balm but the shimmer effect adds something special, and catches the light in a really beautiful, unique way. They are a more elevated lip product than your average lipstick, gloss or balm.
These feel like the black t-shirt of lip products:; they go with everything, always look good and are easy to style.
As I mentioned before, I have three shades: Bare Glow, Blush Glow, and Mauve Glow. They all are similar but slightly different and I love them equally.
If you are looking for a new fall lip product that is beautiful, comfortable, easy to apply and makes a statement without going overboard, I cannot recommend the Makeup by Mario Moisture Glow Plumping Lip Serums enough.
