Monthly Muse: August 2022 Favorites

It is finally the end of August which means we are on the cusp of the best time of the year. If you've been reading Royally Pink for the past 10 years you know that I am addicted to the fall. I am the epitome of a basic white girl during the next four months and I love every second of it.

However, this summer was a decent one. I had a lot going on, started a new job and was just social enough for my liking. I felt like my mental health was on the up and that I made some significant breakthroughs. Those are all positive things in my eye but yet, I'm still excited to say hello to Pumpkin Spice season.

August was the month of organization for me; I needed to get all my ducks in a row, start really putting my head down and paying attention to work, what direction I want my life to go in and just being a little more put together. I think all of my favorite items of the month definitely helped me do that. 

Louis Vuitton GM Agenda

I explained my agenda journey last week but I had to include the GM Agenda size in my favorites as well. This size planner is perfect for me and my large handwriting, multiple to-do lists while also being able to house various papers, notes, and just be a catchall for my entire life. There is really no other agenda for me right now, it is everything I wanted and I can't believe it took this long to get my hands on it. 

Estee Lauder Supreme Moisturizer

I don't remember if I said it on the blog or just on Youtube but the new job I started is with Estee Lauder. That also means I get a 50% off discount for all the Estee owned brands and it's ridiculous how much money I've spent at the company store in two months. One of the items I purchased was the Estee Lauder Supreme+ Moisturizer and oh wow, it is so good. It's light weight, incredibly moisturizing but has insane skincare benefits like firming and lifting the skin while also preventing fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. I am nearing 30 (just a few more months) and anti-aging skincare is at the forefront of my mind. This moisturizer is really unlike anything I've ever used and feels very luxurious. I am obsessed. 

Papier Notebooks

These were in my June favorites but they deserve another spot.. Papier Notebooks are the superior notebooks. I have so many for so many different things but specifically, I have been loving the hardcover for work. I have the hardcover for my wellness journals but have only used softcover for actual writing, until now. The hardcover notebook I bought for work has made my life so easy. They pages are thick and prevent ink bleeding through while also being comfortable to write on. The size of the notebook is also perfect for taking back and forth to the office, jotting down meeting notes and to-do lists. I can't get enough and using it consistently over the past month has been incredibly helpful. 

J.Crew Girlfriend Crew Neck Tee

Is a sign of maturing retiring your graphic tees and reverting to solid colors only? If so, I am a fully mature adult. This summer I put away all my graphic tees and have been wearing only solid color J.Crew tees. I've tried a bunch of different kinds from J.Crew (who is currently killing the fashion game) but the Girlfriend Crew Neck tees are my favorite. They have a seam down the back which helps give a bit of structure, they're thick but not heavy, and fit like a dream. I need a million of them, right now.
