The shortest month of the year is over and honestly, it feels like it was super long. I'm not ready to say goodbye to winter but realistically, it probably won't warm up for another few months.
The entire month feels like a little bit of a blur; I saw some friends and accomplished a few things but truthfully, it was a really low time for me. I was having daily panic attacks, feeling nervy every morning and night and just overall felt unlike myself. I think I'm starting to come out of it which is good since the next few months are going to be busy and social.
As I've mentioned before, I was trying to do a low-buy year but this month I failed epically. I just couldn't do it; I was too anxious and stressed to not use shopping as a coping mechanism so I've come to love a few new items.
Kindle Paperwhite
I've had a Kindle for a few years and have gone back and forth with how I like it. I always preferred my Nooks more but since I've been receiving more ARCs to read early, I was using my Kindle more and more. I figured it was time to invest in a new one since mine was a few years old, it was working pretty slowly and Amazon just released a new Kindle Paperwhite.
I didn't have the Paperwhite and didn't really understand the difference between a regular Kindle and the Paperwhite... until I got one in my hands.
Oh wow... what a huge difference! The screen is big, the processor is faster than the speed of life and the screen is more sensitive to touch. I have never had an e-reader like this and now I see what I've been missing. I have to stop myself from only reading on my Kindle versus my Nook since I have so many books between the two.
I will probably do a focused review on the Kindle and I might want to upgrade my Nook and then do another Kindle vs Nook post.
PS: I now have an Amazon storefront and you can shop the Kindle there and a lot of my favorite books!
