I received a product free, for review, but all opinions are my own
Ever since I was a baby, my mom would dress me up in the most ridiculous outfits with matching hats and headbands. Every single picture of me as a baby/toddler, I'm wearing a bow in my hair or a big poofy hat.
Because of that, by nature, I have always adored headbands. I always felt comfortable and loved the way they looked in my hair. Simple headbands, neon headbands, ones with bows and feathers...give me them all!
It's definitely one of the reasons Blair Waldorf is my spirit animal.
When headbands aren't in style, I get really sad because then I think everyone's looking at me like I'm crazy for wanting to wear one.
That is until now...
Just as statement necklaces had a moment (and are still having a moment), statement headbands are having a moment, thanks to Dauphines of New York.
When I was contacted a few months ago about the company launching it's collection in Sephora, I jumped at the chance. Headbands that look like jewelry? Headbands that can dress up any outfit? YES PLEASE SIGN ME UP.
I received my headband a few weeks ago and have been playing around with it and I'm obsessed. It's perfect for everyday wear but has just enough rhinestones to dress up an outfit on a Friday night.
We know that fashion blogging isn't my speciality, excuse the sorority letters and minimal makeup |
The three strands make it feel secure on your head but it's just elastic enough to not give you a headband headache.
These headbands mostly retail for $24.00 on Sephora, one of them retails for $49.00. The headband I have is called "Front Row Darling" and is one of the $24.00 headbands.
I'm really glad I received this headband because until now, I haven't had any beautiful, statement headbands and I think they're super useful, versatile, and just a fun hair accessory!
