Well I've been on summer vacation for a little more than a month now but today, June 21st, marks the first day of summer.
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year but it's exciting that summer has officially arrived. I, though, feel like summer is near over since I go back to school in the beginning of August.
Nonetheless, June 21st is always "National Wear Your Lilly Day". Summer marks the arrival of white dresses, sandals, and everything bright colored. That is pretty much the definition of Lilly Pulitzer.
I do not (yet) own a Lilly Pulitzer dress/shirt/pants so I took it upon myself to throw on my Lilly scarf. Yes, a scarf in 80 Degree weather is not ideal, especially when traveling in Manhattan but I couldn't resist. And if it's Lilly, I could automatically wear it in the summertime, right?
Well, I had a great first day of summer at my new internship and if you follow me on Twitter, you know where that is! I'll be updating you more on that over the weekend.
For now, kick back and enjoy summertime with some splendid Lilly Pulitzer!
